In the Seanad today, the senators were busy talking about their favourite subject – themselves. Senator David Norris got up to speak during the order of business to discuss the Seanad. During his five-minute speech he managed to talk about social welfare fraud, fluoride in our water system and the Seanad not being dysfunctional. He also responded to the suggestion made by Irish Independent columnist Martina Devlin on last nights Vincent Browne show – ‘that our Senators should work for free’.
