Senator Mary Ann O’Brien links fluoride in water to cancer and down syndrome.

Senator Mary Ann O’Brien is an Independent Senator nominated by the Taoiseach to the current Seanad. Senator O’Brien is the founder and chairperson of Lily O’Brien’s Chocolates. She also founded the Jack and Jill Foundation with her husband, to provide home health and respite care to severely sick infants.

Today in the Seanad; the Senator linked fluoride used in Irish water to certain types of cancer and down syndrome, and also claimed the science is there to back up such claims. Without actually showing us this science. Next she’ll be telling us there’s a link between diabetes and a high sugar intake, by eating, say, too much choclate…..

More than a few scientific eyebrows have been arched at her claims today.

We should really keep the Seanad……
