Would you rather get rid of Trapattoni or Newstalk’s, Off the ball team ? (Poll)

A nation mourns, Newstalk 106-108 have announced that the ‘off the ball’ award winning radio sports show is over. Newstalk confirmed that Eoin McDevitt, Simon Hick, Ken Early, Ciaran Murphy and Mark Horgan have resigned from its sports department.”

Rumor is rife on social media that the, ‘off the ball’ team have been poached by RTE. It is thought that the offer to cover the election of  a new Pope along side RTE’s other 4879 anti Catholic RTE presenters currently in Rome, was a challenge to good to turn down. OK, lets be honest they are not leaving Newstalk for for the bright lights of ‘Midlands sport’ or ‘Muck Savage’ Fm.

For a lot of Irish sports fan this is the ‘Where were you moment?,’ when you heard it was to be the end of  The ‘Off the ball’ show.  Like, where were you when JFK died ? Or when man landed on the moon ? Roy Keane walked out of Saipan ? Or the ladies intermediate footballers won the County Championship?

Which begs the question what the hell is Denis ‘the Menace’ O’Brien  owner of Newstalk playing at ? The quality of broadcasting on Newstalk at the moment is lower than a snakes ball-bag. It has become the ‘Sunday Independent’ of Irish Radio.

Irish billionaire Denis O’Brien once said his contribution to Irish soccer manager’s Giovanni Trapattoni’s salary was “probably one of my better investments” Hmmm, I’m guessing the Irish sporting public probably don’t feel the same way, right now a lot of us are saying why lose ‘of the ball’ ?

So I am running an entirely guaranteed 102% scientific poll organised by Quantum Abacus Research.  On who would the Irish sporting public like to have seen Denis ‘the menace’ O’Brien got rid of first ?  The ‘Off the ball show’ or Trapattoni ?

This voting is also open to women, and children under 16….
