Irish Shades of Grey Book for charity

Yes, folks it’s on the book shelves for the past week or so. By now everyone knows how it came about but if not, you can read it here, Irish Shades of Grey. It was the initial Irish parody of the 50 shades of grey book that swept Irish mammies of their feet. Their have been a number of Irish parodies since, Irish shades of Grey was the first and original parody.  The book is the very best of Irish wit taking on  the worldwide bestseller 50 Shades of Grey.

What we and New Island Press did was put together 500 best tweets of #irishshadesofgrey from Twitter. Such was the popularity of Irish Shades of Grey, it was reported in Irish News papers and local and National radio stations, it was even reported on globally.

Over the next few days I will endeavor to let everyone know who is in the book.

Proceeds from the book will be going to charity. Those that worked hard in putting the book together, did so in their own free time and did it for free to benefit a good cause. We felt, because it was social media event, we thought it would be a great idea if social media got to choose the charity that should benefit from the proceeds.

You can vote for a number of worthwhile causes here New Island Royalty decision. Voting will stay open till Christmas.
