Strange Irish place names

The always hilarious Muff, Co Donegal.  Insert joke wherever you like.

Nobber Co Meath. I was actually in position of one of those signs once. Those were the days when rivets held the signs in place. Now you would have to take the whole concrete bollard with you.

Where the men will be on your back like a school bag if you let them.

The unfortunately named Horetown in Co Wexford……

There’s a Curry south and east but no hot curry. Co Sligo.

Would you like chips with your Curry ?

Those ordinance guys way back yonder were having a laugh in Wexford. Welcome to Bastardstown……

I’ve a few to add. Kind of. In a blogpost that was part of an ongoing discussion about illegal immigration in the US. http://irishkc.com/irish-place-names-and-illegals.htm
