What the media abroad are saying about Mahon report

The BBC’s Mark Simpson describes how Bertie went from hero to zero or maybe that should be multiple of zero’s

The Financial Times runs the usual bland analysis I wont bore you with the details you can read it for yourself here .

England’s , The Daily Telegraph tells us the report cost €91,000 for each of the final report’s 3,270 pages , Encyclopedia Britannica it’s not.

Irish Central that bastion of all things leprechaun , tells us the report is a whitewash , which im inclined to agree with. Referendum on Oireachtas powers anyone ?

Reuters compare’s Bertie’s downfall with Charlie Haughey’s

For all our ex pats down under , The Herald Sun don’t mince its words and tells us Ex-Irish leader took secret payments.

The main thing that will jump out when comparing the articles and what they all have in common are  , Fianna Fáil , Property developers , corruption and Bertie is a liar , but sure we knew that anyway.

Little or no mention of Mayos favorite son former Fianna Fail Minister and EU commissioner Pee Flynn being found of having accepted corrupt payments.

What will be interesting to see over the weekend will be the Sindo’s reaction? They cheered and jeered for Bertie all through this and most of their opinion pieces should have finished during this period with ….This was a party political blow-job on behalf of Fianna Fáil. Mind you the Harris clan will probably find a way to blame RTE anyway.
